It's the Buffalo Bills vs the Miami Dolphins. Part three! On the season, each team has one win to their name at home, decided by a total of only five points.
With the potential return of QB Tua Tagovailoa for the Dolphins, there's no reason to assume otherwise why it shouldn't be more of the same.
However, a big difference in this game might be the absence of the difference maker from game two.
RB Raheem Mostert suffered a broken thumb, leaving his availability for the game into question. A relief for the Bills, who were gashed by Mostert for 136 yards (8 yards per carry). His best performance of the season.
The Buffalo Bills second-worst defensive output against the run, Mostert being out is an enormous advantage as the Dolphins RB1 is in his best season of his career, going into the stadium he was needed and excelled.
It's also prime timing for the Bills defense with the impending return of Tua Tagovailoa. Who has relied on the combo running of Mostert and Jefff Wilson Jr. to help open the passing game, and not force a one-dimensional offense.
Something the Dolphins have faced often this year.
While the return of Tua is the most important factor in Miami's offense, the legs of Mostert not carving the Bills defense is a huge relief for Buffalo.
It likely will be a game-time decision before we know if Mostert can or can't play. If he is unable to go, it's one less obstacle to the second round for Buffalo.
