The Buffalo Bills have added a ton of new faces to their receiving room this offseason.

Gone are Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Trent Sherfield, and Deonte Harty, who have been replaced with the likes of Curtis Samuel, Mack Hollins, Keon Coleman, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

Another name, though, is emerging as a player who could make the team that few saw coming.

Wide receiver Chase Claypool was added to the Bills' roster in early May. Now, according to Matt Parrino, the former second-round pick is looking like a dark horse candidate to make the final 53-man roster.

"Claypool has been the Bills’ most consistent receiver during OTAs and is setting the stage for what should be a run at the 53-man roster," Parrino wrote. "He made the most explosive play of the day, catching a deep bomb from backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky during 11-on-11. Once he gets past his defender, it’s hard for the safeties to catch up and rookie Cole Bishop learned that lesson on the play, which would have gone for a touchdown in a game."

Claypool has struggled over the last two seasons, bouncing between the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Bears, and Miami Dolphins. The Notre Dame product is looking to get his career back on track with Buffalo and carve out a spot for himself on the roster.
