The Buffalo Bills were named this week as a potential landing spot for a former No. 1 overall draft pick.

Pro Football Focus thinks Buffalo could be the team that signs edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney, who is set to be a free agent after spending the 2023 season with the Baltimore Ravens.

From PFF: Clowney could be something of a Leonard Floyd replacement coming off one of the best seasons of his career, as a long, freakishly athletic edge who defends the run very well.

It seems likely that Leonard Floyd will sign elsewhere this offseason after he essentially told reporters that he'll be chasing money in free agency instead of the best situation.

Clowney, who just turned 31, has never quite lived up to the hype of being the No. 1 overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft. And he's been wildly inconsistent at times throughout his career. But he's still capable of making an impact for an NFL franchise. This past season, Clowney registered 9.5 sacks which matches his career high. If he can have a similar season in 2024, he could provide great value for the Bills.

A to Z Sports recently projected that Clowney will receive a fully guaranteed one-year deal worth $10.5 million with a year one cap hit of $3.1 million.
