Entering the season, I knew the Buffalo Bills' offensive line was going to be good. I knew the pair of tackles in Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown were strong. I loved that they are paid and locked up on long-term contracts, and believe that they provide stability to Josh Allen and the line.

I didn't know the Bills were going to have the best offensive line in the NFL.

This unit looks otherworldly right now, keeping Josh Allen clean and giving him all day to throw, while consistently opening up running lanes for whoever is in the backfield. The metrics back it up.

Monday Night Football's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars was over before halftime with the Bills scoring five touchdowns on their first five drives. The big fellas up front were a key reason why they were able to run through the Jaguars.

Allen left the game once again with a clean jersey. He hasn't been sacked since Week 1. He's been hit only once in the last two weeks. Of quarterbacks that have played all three games to start the season, Allen is tied with Patrick Mahomes for the fewest pressures in the league at 20.

Brown, in particular, is playing at an elite level.

Brown is the only offensive tackle in the league with at least 25 pass-blocking snaps and zero pressures allowed. This post doesn't quite do it justice, either – Brown has way more than 25 pass blocking snaps.

He has 91.

on 91 pass blocking reps through three games, Brown has not allowed a pressure, according to Next Gen Stats.

Going back to Week 1, the only time that Josh Allen was sacked was on a play that he held the ball well past when he should have.

Keeping Allen clean and allowing him time to smartly go where the defense isn't has been a beautiful start to the year. We know that Allen is capable of playing hero ball, but the beauty of this offense so far this season is that he hasn't needed to.

Even in a massive statistical game on Monday Night Football that saw him go for over 300 scrimmage yards and four passing touchdowns, Allen was rarely in any kind of trouble, and had the space to be able to get the ball to his playmakers and allow them to go to work after the catch.

They've done this against pretty good fronts to start the year, but none better than Jacksonville, who have the duo of Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker, the two of which combined for 27.5 sacks in 2023. The Bills offensive line is off to a great start, which is a sign of good things to come as the season progresses.
