Some fans in Buffalo shrugged their shoulders when they learned the Bills traded for former Packers cornerback Rasul Douglas ahead of the NFL trade deadline. Little did they know, he would become one of their most vital pieces down the stretch.

According to PFF, Douglas is the most valuable cornerback in the NFL this season, leading everyone at the position in WAR (wins above replacement). If you are unfamiliar with WAR, it is a stat that measures a player's value compared to an alternative.

PFF does this by determining how good a player is throughout a specified time with their grades and measuring said player's performance compared to that of the league average. For a full explanation, you can read how PFF grades WAR here.

Douglas has been incredibly vital for the Bills since arriving. He had a massive game against the Jets in just his second appearance for the Bills, intercepting two passes and recovering a fumble.

On top of leading all cornerbacks in WAR, Douglas is also PFF's sixth-highest-graded cornerback of 2023.
