Rookie running back Ray Davis continues to emerge as a vital part of the Buffalo Bills offense. He had limited opportunities on Sunday, but that didn't stop Davis from making arguably the biggest play from the offense in the game.

Davis caught a pass from Josh Allen, broke a tackle, and housed one for a 63-yard touchdown.

"The biggest thing as a running back, once you get to that third level, you've gotta be able to make a guy miss," Davis said about the play after the game. So that was, like, the biggest thing in my ear, was make sure I make a guy miss. After that, I kind of blacked out from there. I heard the whole crowd, so I assumed nobody was around me. But you know, thanks to Josh [Allen] for believing in me. You know, being able to make that pass, and being a rookie, you know, to me, that shows he has a lot of trust in me to go out there and make a play. And I'm just blessed that he was able to have that faith in me."

Davis finished the game leading the team in scrimmage yards, continuing to solidify himself as one of many playmakers that the Bills can count on.

The Bills haven't had a running back with a longer reception in a long time. Davis' 63-yard TD reception was the longest TD reception by a Bills running back since C.J. Spiller had a 66-yard receiving touchdown on December 30, 2012, according to Buffalo Bills PR.

On a day where James Cook didn't get much going (he finished with 44 rushing yards, five receiving yards, and no touchdowns), having a secondary piece in the backfield like Davis is a wonderful thing to have at your disposal. It wasn't a dominant win, but Buffalo moved on to 7-2 and has a stranglehold on the AFC East.
