The Buffalo Bills' biggest need offensively is wide receiver, and they have made an acquisition via free agency to help address that need.
The Bills are signing former Commanders and Panthers wide receiver Curtis Samuel to a three-year, $24 million deal that is worth up to $30 million with $15 million in guaranteed money.
Samuel is coming off back to back seasons of 60+ catches with four touchdowns in both 2022 and 2023.
I will say, however, this is a signing I don't quite understand. That isn't it say Samuel is a bad player- he isn't- but where is the fit. The Bills already had Khalil Shakir to be their predominant slot receiver, as well as Dalton Kincaid. Adding another slot receiver to the mix when a perimeter option was needed doesn't quite make sense.
The Bills now have Stefon Diggs and two slot receivers, as well as Kincaid and Dawson Knox. I'd still anticipate a receiver in the first two rounds of the draft.
