Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs made quite the statement about quarterback Josh Allen on Thursday after a 28-25 win against the Detroit Lions.

The Bills had to dig deep to beat Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. But they got the job done thanks to a four-play drive that went for 48 yards in just 21 seconds which resulted in Buffalo's game-winning field goal.

After the game, Diggs told CBS Sports' Tracy Wolfson that he has the best quarterback in the league.

"I got the best quarterback in the league," said Diggs. "Anytime we hit a lull, it's like his eyes are locked in. He's focused. I try to be that support system. You know, be his receiver, get open, catch the ball like he always tells me. And that'll bring some energy. Get my guy going. That's my guy. When in doubt, I'm riding with 17."

Buffalo has dealt with a lot of adversity over the last week. They had to relocate to Detroit for their week 11 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. The Bills then went back to Buffalo for a couple of days before heading back to Detroit for the Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Lions.

Despite the adversity, Buffalo went 2-0 in those games and improved their record to 8-3.

There were some folks who were ready to question if the Bills were legitimate Super Bowl contenders after back-to-back losses to the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings. But after the way they handled a tough situation and emerged with two straight wins, it's clear that Buffalo is who we thought they were — a championship contender.

And the main reason, of course, is because the Bills have Josh Allen under center.
