The Buffalo Bills have gone through a lot of changes this offseason, releasing several veterans and signing multiple new players on both sides of the ball.

They have also kept multiple of their own players in house, extending left tackle Dion Dawkins and re-signing edge rusher A.J. Epenesa. Now, Buffalo is once again making an in-house extension.

The Bills are giving cornerback Taron Johnson a three-year extension worth $31 million. The extension makes Johnson the NFL's highest-paid nickel cornerback.

Johnson is coming off a career-high 98 tackles in 2023 and forced three fumbles. He was responsible for 40 defensive stops last season, per PFF. Johnson also had a coverage grade of 81.7 and an overall grade of 80.4 from PFF.

Johnson was drafted by the Bills in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and is now set to be with the team through 2027.
