A day after being eliminated from the playoffs, Buffalo Bills veteran wide receiver Cole Beasley expressed interest in returning in 2023.

Beasley told reporters on Monday that he wants to play one more season and he hopes it's with the Bills.

The former SMU standout said his son is also hoping that Beasley is in Buffalo next season.

Beasley played for the Bills from 2019 to 2021. He went unsigned after the 2021 season before getting picked up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in late September. He spent a few weeks with the Bucs before retiring.

The retirement, however, didn't last long. The Bills signed Beasley to their practice squad in December.

Beasley played two games for the Bills during the regular season, catching one pass for nine yards in each appearance. He made more of an impact in the playoffs.

Against the Miami Dolphins in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, Beasley caught two passes for 35 yards and a touchdown.

In the loss to the Bengals this past weekend, Beasley caught three passes for 33 yards.

Bringing Beasley back would give the Bills a cheap reliable option that could provide veteran leadership. If he wants to keep playing it seems like it should be an easy decision for Buffalo to re-sign him to a one-year deal.
