Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl offensive lineman Dion Dawkins knows that the loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs will be tough for fans to get over this offseason.
But Dawkins had a strong message for Bills Mafia on Monday, encouraging fans to "just keep fighting" and keep believing.
"If you've always believed, hopefully we've given you a reason to believe just a little bit more," said Dawkins. "From where he were at, from where we started, from when we hit a low to where we finished, hopefully you're still believing. Because we believe in you guys as much as y'all believe in us. And the way that y'all came to that stadium yesterday, it was amazing."
"Just keep fighting," continued Dawkins. "Just keep fighting, please. Because it takes your strongest punch. And it takes the strongest positive energy to create a powerful punch. So if you're with us, stay with us. If you're not, you know, good luck to wherever you're going. But it's Bills Mafia here. Love you guys."
At one point this season, it looked like the Bills were going to miss the playoffs. But the team kept fighting. And they made it further than many of the national pundits thought they'd make it. That doesn't make the loss to the Chiefs on Sunday night any easier to swallow, but there's no doubting the spirit of this team and this fan base.
