Dallas Cowboys All-Pro LB Micah Parsons wasted no time letting the world know what he wanted from Bills QB Josh Allen
Older clips have resurfaced with Micah Parsons giving some eye-opening remarks on his true feelings about Bills QB Josh Allen.
I want to preface this by saying there is less than a 1% chance the Buffalo Bills pull off a blockbuster trade to land Dallas Cowboys All-Pro LB Micah Parsons, but we can dream, right?
The news quickly took over the NFL world, and in about 12 hours, Micah Parsons was rumored to want to be traded away from the Cowboys, which then followed up with a response from Parsons in his own words detailing how everything has broken down in Dallas
Parsons went on to blast the front office and ownership, taking shots at owner Jerry Jones over his controversial comments about the talented linebacker. Jones blasted Parsons without naming names, discussing his injury concerns and inability to stay on the football field.
Resurfaced clips of Parsons going viral
That’s when the fun part kicks in, older clips are now resurfacing of Parsons talking about his love for different teams and organizations, and specifically in this instance, what he wants more than anything from Buffalo Bills MVP QB Josh Allen. This specific clip comes from Von Miller’s podcast from about 2 years ago.
Parsons joined Von Miller to talk all things football, and obviously, the topic of Josh Allen was brought up. This was during Miller’s tenure with the Bills, years before signing a deal with the Washington Commanders. Needless to say, Parsons’ comments about the MVP QB are quickly going viral once again.
Parsons lets Josh Allen know exactly what he wants
Unprompted, Parsons offered, “Can you tell Josh (Allen) to give me a jersey, please?” He continued, not able to stay in his chair with excitement (and we can’t blame him). Continuing, “I want a game-worn. Josh, if you’re out there and watching this. Like, someone clip this.” “I’m not even playing, there’s no end.”
Miller was all smiles and more than happy to fulfill his request. Miller added, “It’ll be here this week, trust me. It’ll be at the facility. Josh Allen jersey coming to the store.”
Air Raid, Bills experts in the community, gave the perfect explanation for what’s going on and something I like to call the Josh Allen effect. Air Raid posted the video, a clip from ‘The Von Cast’, adding, “This is a thing. Like around the league. Josh Allen’s peers are in awe of what he does in a football field.’
Another clip from the same podcast, moments before, had Parsons talking about Josh Allen as a player and what he can bring to the table, highlighting the QB’s nature and how he already feels like family.
Parsons started, “He has an imma run through you like a muhf–ka mindset.” He continued, “Josh is probably one of my favorite players in the league. I met him at the Super Bowl last year. I almost felt like he was my brother. His energy is contagious.”
Calm down, breathe
Again, it’s highly unlikely that Parsons lands in Buffalo, but it seems that he and Josh Allen already have some great chemistry. The salary cap isn’t real; there’s always money in the banana stand. For now, we’re just left to wonder if Josh Allen’s jersey arrived right in the knick of time.
Having Parsons in the backfield on defense would be a game-changer. I am just going to spend the next few days imagining what that would look like. For now, we just have a dream. And what a great dream it is.
