The Buffalo Bills narrowly escaped Cleveland with a victory last week.

Regardless, the team is 11-4 and looking forward to the Philadelphia Eagles, or so we thought. On Saturday, the NFL issued its fines from the previous slate of games. For Buffalo, it is once again finding itself in a rough spot with the league.

Offensive tackle Dion Dawkins was fined $11,593 for unnecessary roughness (helmet opening) in the fourth quarter against the Browns. The Bills Mafia might remember this was the play where Dawkins tore off Garrett’s helmet. While Dawkins was fined for his actions, no flag was thrown.

Once again, the No Fun League strikes. It’s not the first time this season that a Buffalo player has been penalized. The players have had to dig deep into their pocketbooks more than once this season.

This is the seventh time in his career that Dawkins has been fined. It’s his first fine since Dec. 2024, which was an unsportsmanlike conduct against the Los Angeles Rams. In total, he’s been fined $88,825. He’s faced infractions for chop blocks, fighting, and taunting, in addition to unsportsmanlike conduct and unnecessary roughness against the Browns.

Multiple Bills players fined in 2025

Defensive end Joey Bosa was fined in Week 8 for a total of $12,172 for unnecessary roughness. Linebacker Dorian Williams was fined for the same infraction in Week 4, only seeing a $7,989 impact.

Perhaps the most ridiculous fine of the season was the “violent gestures” that wide receiver Elijah Moore and quarterback Josh Allen shared against the Chiefs. Allen was fined $14,491 while Moore was fined $13,888.

In the end, the fine won’t change the standings. The win still counts, and Buffalo keeps rolling toward the postseason. Fines aside, the Bills accomplished what mattered most in Cleveland. Everything else is just noise.
