It's been quite the year for Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
And the 2024 season isn't even over yet.
Allen has been playing at a very high level, making a serious run to be the league's MVP.
Oh, and he got engaged at the beginning of the month to singer and actress Hailee Steinfeld.
And according to one of Allen's teammates, he has seen something different ever since the engagement.
“There’s something about it,” Dawkins said Wednesday.
“When you’re in this world that we’re in, and a lot of people pulling at you and a lot of sources of ups and downs of a roller coaster, and you have that one stable person that you can rely on and go home and hug and get a laugh no matter what, I think that’s dope,” Dawkins added. “And that’s what I think is going on.”
The offensive lineman was exactly right.
Allen said the same thing in an interview with Steinfeld's Beau Society newsletter.
"It feels unbelievable to be engaged to someone who is so special and loving and caring and gorgeous and fun and happy," Allen stated.
So far this season, Allen has 275 completions for 3,395 passing yards along with 25 passing touchdowns and only five interceptions. On the rushing side, he has 91 carries for 484 yards and 11 touchdowns.
There's no stopping him right now.
In the NFL, all the talk is about the Taylor Swift effect, but we got another one to focus on.
For Allen, it's officially the Hailee Steinfeld effect.
