The Buffalo Bills and their beloved fans, the Bills Mafia, are patiently waiting for the season opener to begin.
Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, the bright New Jersey and absolutely not New York lights shining down upon them on Monday Night Football, it's going to be glorious. However, a recent decision should have fans even more excited for kickoff.
With Monday Night Football being on ESPN, that means that the game will also be shown as a part of the Manningcast. A series in which the two brothers, Peyton and Eli Manning, talk about the game and have guests on.
A big game calls for some big names, and that's what the brothers have done. While he played for the New York Jets as well, he's more known for his time with the Buffalo Bills. It was announced on X that none other than former Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick would be a guest on the show.
The Bills Mafia might be changing their plans to tune into ESPN2 instead, with Fitzpatrick being a guest. Getting some commentary from a fan favorite along with the Manning brothers could be a good alternative for those tuning in.
Fitzpatrick is beloved across the Bills Mafia and even showed his face during a playoff game, a moment that quickly went viral and showcased just how much Fitzpatrick still loves the city he gave his all.
While he didn't break records, or even break the drought, Fitzpatrick saw a career in Buffalo in which he amassed 55 games for 11,654 yards with 80 passing touchdowns and 64 interceptions.
If the season opener against a division rival didn't pump up the fanbase, seeing Fitzmagic once again should do the trick.
Here's hoping for a competitive game so that the team can stay healthy so we can focus a little more on what Fitzpatrick has to say and not be a ball of anxiety anytime the team touches the football.
Even after 20 years, I still get nervous before every game. The beauty of being a Bills fan.
