Former Buffalo Bills WR Mike Williams life tragically ended at the age of 36.

It was misreported earlier that Williams had died, as he continued to battle from a reported injury suffered from a steel beam falling on his head. It's been confirmed through ESPN that he has lost his life.

The former Buffalo Bills receiver had been hospitalized in an ICU following an incident at a construction site that left him paralyzed. According to his family, he was taken off a ventilator on Thursday.

Williams continued to fight until his last breath even while being removed from the ventilator. A tragic story reaches an even more devastating conclusion.

The talented receiver was somewhat of a hometown product as he played college football in Syracuse. Williams was a fourth-round draft pick of the Buccaneers and dominated his rookie season, finishing second in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting.

Despite not seeing the field, Williams was beloved in Buffalo and saw a career in which he amassed 223 catches for 3,089 yards and 26 touchdowns, most of which was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.
