The Buffalo Bills got back in the win column thanks to a dominant performance by quarterback Josh Allen. The reigning MVP was historic in the victory, scoring six total touchdowns and shattering NFL records along the way.

Before kickoff, though, the Bills made waves with their game-day inactives report. In a surprising move, wide receiver Keon Coleman was a healthy scratch. It didn’t take long for news to break that it was related to missing a team meeting, and yet another disciplinary action was taken against the young wide receiver.

Earlier in the 2025 season, Coleman was forced to miss the first series against the New England Patriots, something that the fan base had hoped that Coleman would have learned from.

Immediately after the game, Bills superstar Dion Dawkins left nothing to the imagination about what’s going down with Coleman. His blunt response has quickly spread like wildfire across social media, and it’s not hard to see why.

“Pats on the back are over with, and it’s time for him to grow up, and he knows it,” Dawkins said. “As an older player on the team, we hold everybody accountable. We shoot straight, we don’t sugarcoat it, and the words were said to him, and he took it well. We’ll see how it goes this week, but, like I said at the beginning of the season, I’m in Keon’s corner, man. This league is hard, being on time is hard, being great is hard, pushing for greatness is hard, so. We got his back, but the time is now.”

Dion has always been in Keon’s corner

The only thing I will push back on is Dawkins’ claim that it’s hard to be on time. If that were the case, more and more Bills players would be facing disciplinary action, but that hasn’t happened. Coleman needs to use this to fuel him to great things; it was an inexcusable mistake by the young wide receiver.

Through the 2025 season, Coleman has left much to be desired on the football field. In the offseason and training camp, the talk of the town was how he would take that important step in the offense, and that he would break out.

Dawkins was right; he has always been in Keon’s corner. Dawkins spoke to the media before the season began and said that the league better get ready for Keon. Unfortunately, the league has been ready, and Coleman hasn’t shown up outside of Week 1.

With leaders like Allen and Dawkins setting the tone, there’s still a path for Coleman to bounce back. The window for excuses is gone; now it’s up to Keon to respond.
