Bills hit with some brutal news by the NFL ahead of upcoming matchup against the Miami Dolphins
Not the best news for several players ahead of showdown against the Dolphins.
The Buffalo Bills got some brutal news from the NFL, and it’s about more than one player. On Saturdays during the season, the NFL releases its fines for the week.
With that, a handful of players who were flagged — or sometimes not even penalized during the game — received fines for actions that occurred during the previous slate of games. The NFL released multiple fines for Bills players stemming from the Week 9 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Quarterback Josh Allen and receiver Elijah Moore were fined for unsportsmanlike conduct/violent gestures. Allen was fined $14,491, and Moore was fined $13,888.
Syracuse.com’s Ryan Talbot shared a video on Twitter (X) showing the incident. Needless to say, it seems a little soft by the league.

What’s more, cornerback Christian Benford was fined $14,714 for unnecessary roughness (use of the helmet) after diving into a Chiefs player on defense. Alaina Getzenberg, ESPN reporter for the Buffalo Bills, shared the video on Twitter (X) as well.
Rounding out the infractions was running back Ty Johnson, who was fined $10,778 for unnecessary roughness (facemask) on a punt. In total, the players are facing a combined fine of $53,781. While they are millionaires, and it won’t hurt their pockets as much, it’s still a big chunk of change.

Defensive end Joey Bosa and linebacker Dorian Williams were also fined earlier in the year. Bosa was fined $12,172 for unnecessary roughness (striking/kicking/tripping/kneeing) against the Panthers, and Williams was called for unnecessary roughness and fined $7,989 in Week 4.
From Allen’s harmless celebration to Johnson’s special-teams scuffle, the “No Fun League” reputation appears alive and well. Bills Mafia probably doesn’t mind the fines, especially when it comes after a win over the Chiefs.
