The Buffalo Bills are entering a crucial offseason, although every year that they have MVP Josh Allen under center and haven't won a Super Bowl feels crucial. This year, with a young core of players that have stepped into prominent roles, Buffalo is poised to take a big step forward if general manager Brandon Beane can capitalize on the offseason.
Surely Beane will be active in free agency, but building through the NFL Draft and finding future stars is always the most sustainable way to go. For Beane, who has struggled in the last four years to find first round talent that has emerged into superstar players, Bills Mafia is hoping the 2025 NFL Draft proves to be different.
We'll discuss how many picks the Buffalo Bills have in the 2025 NFL Draft, as well as some positions of need that the team needs to address.
Buffalo Bills 2025 NFL Draft picks
Brandon Beane and the Bills, as it currently stands, have 10 picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. With the Super Bowl behind us and the draft order finalized, we now know exactly where those picks fall. Armed with plenty of ammo to make trades, it's safe to expect Beane to be aggressive this year.

Buffalo Bills 2025 NFL Draft position needs
There are a few positions that stand out as immediate needs for Beane to address, whether through free agency, trades, or the NFL draft. Beane has work to do to continue to add playmakers to this roster.
Defensive line
Whether on the interior or off the edge, the Bills need to add players to their defensive front that can be disruptors. Outside of Ed Oliver, who had a good showing in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the rest of the defensive line didn't make their presence felt. The edges, in particular, failed to make an impact. The Bills need players that can get after the quarterback and blow up running plays all across the defensive line.
Cornerback
The Bills have their CB1 in Christian Benford, and we know how valuable Taron Johnson is as a nickel, but with the potential for Rasul Douglas to be gone in free agency, this team needs more talent on the back end. It looks like the Bills could be moving to more of a man coverage approach, so look for Beane to have defenders circled that are sticky in press-man and have ball skills to generate turnovers, something this defense covets.
Safety
Buffalo has to make a free agent decision with Damar Hamlin in the months leading up to the draft, but it might make sense to let him walk. 2024 rookie Cole Bishop showed promise in his first season in the league, and Taylor Rapp looked the part. If I were betting on it today, those two enter 2025 as the team's starting safeties. Buffalo needs more depth at the position, though, so bringing one or two in this offseason would make sense.
Wide receiver
Will the Bills bring back Amari Cooper in free agency? Whether or not they do, this team clearly needs a wide receiver that can stretch the field vertically and win deep. There are multiple ways that could look — Beane could sign a guy like Marquise Brown in free agency, or he could look for a playmaker in the draft that has speed and created plenty of separation for himself. Keon Coleman and Khalil Shakir will be locked in as starters in 2025, but the rest of the depth chart still has some shaking out to do.
