3 Bills players to watch in Week 1 matchup against the Ravens
- QB Josh Allen: Anytime number 17 is on the football field, all eyes are going to be on him. With no reps during any of the preseason games after winning the MVP, we’re just excited to see what he’s able to do heading into his eighth NFL season. Some new weapons in Josh Palmer and Elijah Moore, paired with the rise of Tyrell Shavers, “everyone eats” should be in full effect. Allen has talked about his desire to limit taking hard hits so that he can have a prosperous and long career, and that’s exactly what we’re hoping to see. The new look offense might have a few hiccups along the way, but watching number 17 sling the football will never get old.
- WR Tyrell Shavers: Shavers was a camp darling and officially made the 53-man roster after years of hard work and dedication. While low on the depth chart, we’re going to be watching what kind of impact he can make not only in the receiving game but on special teams as well. He’s a great story, and we’re hoping it translates to a few catches.
- S Cole Bishop: Sean McDermott has expressed that this unit needs to get better and that the team was still looking for that starting safety to play alongside Taylor Rapp. While injured throughout most of training camp, Bishop participated in limited reps through the team’s final two preseason contests. Will Lamar Jackson look to target the relatively inexperienced safety room? Were all the concerns from the offseason valid? We won’t have to wait long to find out.
