The Buffalo Bills host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m. ET at Highmark Stadium to open the 2024 regular season. For the Bills and their fans, it's time to see this new roster in action.
After hardly seeing the starting offense in the preseason (Josh Allen was only in for three pass attempts), there are plenty of questions about what the offense is going to look. Questions about wide receiver and the offensive line will get a majority of the attention early, and rightly so – Khalil Shakir is the only returning wide receiver that has ever caught a pass from Allen in a live game.
Buffalo vs Arizona will kick off at 1:00 pm ET, and according to 506sports, there will be multiple broadcast options. You can watch the game on:
- Local CBS affiliate
- Out of market on NFL+
- Streaming on CBS app, Paramount+, FUBO, YouTube TV, NFL Sunday Ticket
Bills vs Cardinals will provide an opportunity to start fast
The expectations for the Bills, as long as Allen is under center, are to win the division and compete for Championships. I've said before that I'm not entirely confident that this iteration of the Bills is on that trajectory, and I stand behind that.
As an objective reporter, this team looks like one that is retooling. Brandon Beane is moving off bad contracts and giving plenty of runway for young players at key positions to step up and get experience. It seems as though this franchise has its eyes set on making a Super Bowl run in two to three years, not this year.
With Allen at quarterback, any game is within reach. They'll have an advantage in that department in every game this season except when they line up with Kansas City. But this is a team sport that requires excellence in all three phases. If the Bills are to stay competitive this year, beating the Cardinals would be a good starting point.
Arizona finished last year with a 4-13 record, but they did show a lot of grit. Quarterback Kyler Murray is now more than a year removed from his injury, and they drafted a potential wide receiver phenom in Marvin Harrison Jr. Arizona shouldn't be taken lightly, and the schedule gets tough in just a few weeks' time. Buffalo will want to make the most of this one.
Key element on offense one of three things that must go right for Buffalo Bills in Week 1
