The Buffalo Bills are going to be playing football soon.

After a long wait, we get to see the Bills are going to be back on the playing field. The Bills Mafia will finally be able to start to get the bad taste out of their mouths left over from the devastating loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. With a new season almost underway, there are sky-high expectations for Josh Allen and the Bills.

Will the Bills play the starters?

Sean McDermott opened up that starters would be playing, outside of Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs. With Ken Dorsey in his second year, getting him important reps will be just as valuable as the starters seeing some playing time.

Don't expect them to play long, though. As injuries have been running rampant at camp, the team will most likely look to get their starters in and out fairly quickly.

Who gets first-team reps at middle linebacker?

With Terrel Bernard going down with an injury in the latest practice and his status unknown, expect to see a lot of action from former Texas A&M legend Tyrel Dodson. Dodson is looking to win the position that was previously vacated by now-Chicago Bears linebacker Tremaine Edmunds.

3 Players to watch

  • WR Trent Sherfield: The Bills camp darkhorse has been hauling in impressive catches left and right but on the unofficial depth chart finds himself outside of the battle for the WR3 position. Sherfield will look to continue his impressive camp and could make a push with a successful preseason run.
  • OL O'Cyrus Torrence: The Buffalo Bills have an offensive line problem. Last season, far too many times Josh Allen was left stranded. With RG Ryan Bates and Torrence battling for the position and even McDermott calling it a close contest, look for Torrence to try and make a difference with these preseason games.
  • CB Kaiir Elam.: The former first-round pick has had an up-and-down training camp as he looks to win the CB2 job from Dane Jackson and Christian Benford. Preseason is the perfect time to shine and start how he ended last season, red hot.
