The Buffalo Bills are looking a little banged up, though fans should not jump to any conclusions. With the latest injury report, this is just from a walkthrough practice.

Still, the number of players alone is concerning, to say the least. It’s been a trend in Buffalo this season, with the team forced to play shorthanded in several games.

There’s still plenty of time for things to turn around in Buffalo.

Observations

Head coach Sean McDermott spoke with reporters on Tuesday, sharing pretty much the same information that came out in the injury report on Wednesday. One of the biggest changes was that quarterback Josh Allen was listed as limited, not as a DNP. Allen opened up and told reporters that he feels good and will be ready for the challenge ahead on Sunday.

The team could also be forced into another move, as they brought in several kickers for tryouts due to kicker Matt Prater’s injury. It’s another week with kicker Prater popping up on the injury report, and it doesn’t bode well for Michael Badgley’s chances to stay on the roster.

In the win against the Browns, Badgley wasn’t perfect on the day, and in fact left much to be desired in comparison to what Prater provided before his injury. The team brought in kickers Younghoe Koo, Gavin Stewart, and Maddux Trajillo for a tryout.

The official injury report had defensive tackle DaQuan Jones, tight end Dalton Kincaid, tight end Dawson Knox, defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, safety Jordan Poyer, and kicker Matt Prater all DNP’s.

Dawson Knox was another addition that popped up last-minute on the injury report. He’ll be a name to watch as the week progresses.

Fortunately for fans, it’s still really early in the week, and the team was just going through a walkthrough practice as they prepare for the Philadelphia Eagles. While there are a lot of names, a couple of DNP changing to limited will really turn the tide of the team heading into one of the last home games inside Highmark Stadium. The fans are hungry for another instant classic.

Allen is the biggest name to keep an eye out for, though he seems more than ready to compete on Sunday. Even after the win against the Browns, Allen hilariously offered, “We’re gravy baby,” when discussing his injury.
