Bills Injury Report: New issues surface as Buffalo gears up for pivotal Week 14 showdown against the Bengals
All eyes are going to be on One Bills Drive ahead of the Week 14 matchup against the Bengals.
The Buffalo Bills are making their final preparations for the upcoming Week 14 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals. Head coach Sean McDermott has expressed how important this time of the season is and how the team can’t get complacent. Buffalo needs to find a way to win a majority of its remaining games to reach the postseason.
Unfortunately, one of the things holding the Bills back is injuries. They have ravaged the team on offense and defense throughout the season, and it’s something that looks set to continue against the Bengals.
Quarterback Josh Allen and the offense got some bad news in that tight end Dalton Kincaid, while being limited and progressing well, popped up on the injury report with a knee injury. He had missed the last game due to a hamstring injury, making the new ailment worrisome. It wasn’t something McDermott had addressed when speaking to the media before practice, either.
Bills’ Wednesday injury report
| Player | Injury | W/T/F | Designation |
| LB Terrel Bernard | Elbow | DNP | — |
| DE Joey Bosa | Hamstring/Wrist | DNP | — |
| OL Spencer Brown | Shoulder | Limited | — |
| OL Dion Dawkins | Concussion | Limited | — |
| LS Reid Ferguson | Neck | Full | — |
| FB Reggie Gilliam | Knee | Full | — |
| TE Jackson Hawes | Back | Full | — |
| TE Dalton Kincaid | Hamstring/Knee | Limited | |
| WR Joshua Palmer | Knee/Ankle | DNP | |
| DT T.J. Sanders | Wrist | Full |
It’s looking like Buffalo will get both starting tackles back, though Dion Dawkins remains in concussion protocol, but was limited on Wednesday. A good sign that he could clear the protocol ahead of the Week 14 matchup.
Outside of that, obviously, being down defensive end Joey Bosa will hurt the team. McDermott said the injury is considered week-to-week, so Buffalo will be down one of their best pass rushers against the Bengals. Here’s hoping he can compete sooner rather than later.
And finally, perhaps the biggest blow is that of wide receiver Josh Palmer. Both he and Curtis Samuel have been battling through injuries since arriving with the team, severely limiting their production on the field. It’s another frustrating update for the offense, which just cannot stay healthy.
All that’s left to do is wait and see if the team can turn things around on the injury front. Once again, Buffalo will look to deploy a next-man-up approach for the Week 14 contest.
