The Buffalo Bills dominated in their victory over the New York Jets in Week 2. Reigning MVP Josh Allen didn’t need to put Buffalo on his back as the Bills handled business to remain undefeated. A scary moment unfolded where Allen was bleeding on the field, but he came back soon after.

However, it’s what Joey Bosa shared immediately after the game that’s turning heads, and it involves a special message Allen gave to Bosa after sustaining his nose injury. Bosa was asked whether or not he was worried about Allen after sustaining the injury, and that’s when the mic drop moment came. Bosa was speaking to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo following the contest.

“Not at all,” Bosa said. “He’s an absolute beast. It’s funny, he’s like ‘All I need from you is one strip sack,’ and I went out there and got it at the end of the game, so I’m happy I was able to do something for him.”

Joey Bosa looks worth every penny of his contract

Bosa was one of the biggest stars of the night. He sent the league a message with his performance that he’s healthy and ready to dominate. Bosa knocked the ball loose from Justin Fields, giving him back-to-back weeks with a forced fumble. He added six pressures, one sack, and two QB hits in just 26 snaps.

In March 2025, the Buffalo Bills made waves by signing the five-time Pro Bowl defensive end to a one-year contract. The former No. 3 overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft left the Los Angeles Chargers to start a new chapter in Western New York.

One of the biggest points of emphasis from the fan base was Bosa’s availability. Injuries have played a factor in Bosa’s career, but when he’s healthy, he has proven to be a difference-maker. Through just two weeks, Buffalo’s return on investment is already paying off. Bosa has stayed healthy and made life difficult for opposing quarterbacks early on in his Buffalo tenure.

After the defense was gashed against the Ravens, Bosa talked about how they executed against Fields and the Jets in Week 2.

“We knew we were going to have to affect him; he’s great with his feet,” Bosa said. “Got out a few times, but we were able to affect him in the pocket [ . . . ] Run some pressures, try to get him on the ground.”

Keeping everything in perspective, getting a win in this league is difficult and not something any of these players take lightly. Bosa opened up how it was just Buffalo’s day, but that the Jets are no slouch.

“It’s always great to help the offense, especially early in the game, get the ball back in their hands,” Bosa said. “Hopefully, they can convert and get some points. The rest of the game went just how we kinda were hoping. It’s a good team over there. I know they’ll bounce back. Today was our day.”

At the end of the day, a win is a win. Buffalo remains undefeated thanks in large part to the efforts of Bosa and the entire defense. It’s a statement victory, as Buffalo will be on a short week to take on the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football.
