The Buffalo Bills have one of the best quarterbacks in all of NFL history on their team heading into the second round of the playoffs. Quarterback Josh Allen has been a different monster in the postseason, putting up some historic numbers along the way.

Sunday against Jacksonville was no different, with the reigning MVP adding three total touchdowns to his resume, all while not throwing an interception or having a turnover. He was a large reason why the team walked away with a win.

Josh Allen dethrones Tom Brady in win over Jaguars

With his performance, he was able to pass legendary quarterback Tom Brady. Anytime Allen can get a leg up on Brady is a good day for the Bills Mafia. I don’t have to remind the fan base of the damage Brady caused in the division for nearly 20 years.

According to PFF, and in the PFF era, Allen had another playoff game with a 90+ grade. In terms of NFL history, he now has the most games with such a ranking.

Tom Brady has three, and so does Aaron Rodgers. It may be a small stat, but it’s further proof of what Allen’s been able to do in the playoffs.

Josh Allen has been elite in the postseason throughout his career

Heading into the matchup against Jacksonville, Allen already had the most total yards per game (311), most rushing yards in postseason history (668), and the best touchdown to interception ratio (6.25). Long gone are the narratives that Allen is a turnover merchant, and it seems like he saves his best football for when the lights are brightest and the stakes are at their highest.

Allen finished the day with over 300 total yards and three touchdowns with no turnovers, further improving his postseason dominance. His 26-4 touchdown-to-interception ratio is the best in NFL history, ahead of Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, Matt Ryan, and Drew Brees.

In the past seven playoff games, he has 1,991 passing yards, 19 total touchdowns with one interception, and 404 rushing yards. Quite literally, Allen puts the team on his back when the postseason lights start shining.

Down four with four minutes left in the playoffs, Allen once again pulled off some fourth-quarter magic and led his team to victory, something that fans hope happens once again in the upcoming showdown against the Denver Broncos. The winner gets a chance to go to the AFC Championship game, with Allen and company seemingly more than ready for the challenge ahead.

With Allen playing the best football of his career when it matters most, the Bills don’t have to search for answers; they already have one under center. If Buffalo is going to make a deep run, history suggests No. 17 will be the reason why.
