Josh Allen doesn’t hold back with incredible response about solving issue that haunted him and the Bills for years
The reigning MVP Josh Allen put it all out on the table with a heck of a response.
The Buffalo Bills have one of the best players in football in quarterback Josh Allen. Through the years, the reigning MVP has had his fair share of critics, though, with turnovers being the main point of focus through the early stages of his career.
Allen has since nearly eliminated turnovers from his game, a big reason why he brought home his first MVP award. In 2024, Allen had a career low with eight turnovers, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication he’s put into his craft during the offseasons.
Ahead of the team’s Week 4 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, the signal-caller was asked about how he’s adapted his game to limit the mistakes, and his response is one that the Bills Mafia is sure to enjoy. Turnovers are inevitable; they happen, but Allen has done a tremendous job of limiting them in his game. It’s all part of offensive coordinator Joe Brady’s concept of “everybody eats,” which Allen pointed to in his message.
Dan Fetes, sports anchor and reporter at 13 WHAM, shared the clip on X.
“I think if you look at it from a few different scopes, you have Joe Brady, you have James Cook, and you have our offensive line, and then you have our skill guys,” Allen said. “Just knowing that handing the ball off, and letting James do his thing, and allowing us to see some more one-high and split safety passes.
“Again, having a guy like Khalil and Dalton that you can rely on. And then when you have opportunities outside with Keon, and Josh, and Curtis, and just that whole everybody eats mentality that Joe has kind of allowed us to take over, allowed me to be free and not worry about so much where the ball is going,” Allen added. “There’s been a game where I didn’t have to do much, Week 2. Just hand it off and let James go [ . . . ] I’m just trying to do what I’m being asked to do and that’s, again, taking care of the football and scoring points.”

Josh Allen has been playing on an entirely new level
Dating back to the 2024 season, Allen has been on an absolute tear and has even found himself cemented in NFL history books when it comes to limiting turnovers. In a 12-game stretch, Allen surpassed Tom Brady with 31 touchdowns to one interception during that run. Anytime Allen is mentioned with the likes of Brady, you know he’s doing something right.
“Everybody eats” has proven to be a working concept and a nightmare for opposing defensive coordinators to game plan against. Allen was pressed on why the team isn’t moving the ball down the field more, to which the reigning MVP commented that the team is winning games and taking what the defense allows, not dissimilar to the years Brady ran roughshod over the Bills in the AFC East.
Just taking a look at the Dolphins game. Allen didn’t set the league on fire with his box score, but did exactly what was expected of him and was more than a little efficient on the day. In the win against Miami, Allen finished 22-of-28 with 213 yards and three touchdowns, with no turnovers.
Long gone are the days of critics resting on the “turnover machine” narrative, which has allowed Allen to become a household name in the NFL and one of the best players across the entire league.
The job’s not done, and plenty more football is left to be played in 2025 with a team that has its sights set on bringing the first-ever Lombardi Trophy to Western New York. Through three weeks, Allen looks even better than he did during his 2024 MVP campaign, which should terrify the league.
