Quarterback Josh Allen cemented his spot in NFL history in the Week 11 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Allen shattered records left and right, once again proving that the team drafted the right Josh. With plenty of question marks entering this week on what the offense would look like, Bills Mafia got some vintage No. 17 in the victory.

In total, Allen had more than 350 yards of total offense and six touchdowns in the performance, but his comments postgame are turning heads with his selfless act toward his teammates.

The Bills’ quarterback was asked about what the win may have taught him, and he quickly turned to his mistakes and how he can grow from them, while shouting out special teams.

“Well, how resilient we were. Bonehead decision on that first drive,” Allen said. “Turn the ball over three times, and somehow found a way to win in the way we did. That speaks a lot to the resiliency we have in this locker room. Shout out to our special teams, they played phenomenal tonight.”

Allen made NFL history in the win

With three rushing and three passing touchdowns, Allen made NFL history, surpassing quarterbacks like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning while tying Cam Newton. Allen refused to take credit and instead focused on his teammates when asked about his accomplishment.

“I’m doing my job. Early on in that first quarter, especially, things weren’t going the way we wanted to,” Allen said. “Just trying to find a way to reset, just trusting what Joe is calling, trusting my feet, finding completions. We did that better in the second half.”

Receiver Gabe Davis made his season debut for the Bills, and toward the end of the game, he got tied up with his quarterback on the sideline. Their helmets became attached after a headbutt, with both players smiling it off. Davis made an impact, showing up in a big way, something Allen praised afterward.

“I guess that’s a microcosm of what we hoped it would be,” Allen said. “He did a good job of stepping in, making some plays for us down the stretch there. We’re going to try and use this momentum going forward.”

The reigning MVP was asked about the offense and what he learned from getting so many players involved. The “everybody eats” mantra was alive and well following the game.

“A lot of guys were involved; we feel like that’s who we are,” Allen said. “Feel like we need to be better in the run game. Again, when one isn’t working, we got to rely on the other, and I think that we did that well tonight [ . . . ] just trying to win a football game. Thank you, go Bills.”

The Bills now look to carry that momentum into Week 12 as they continue chasing ground in the AFC race.
