Bills quarterback Josh Allen continues redefining greatness, making NFL history against the Philadelphia Eagles
Josh Allen made history against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Buffalo Bills have a unicorn in quarterback Josh Allen. Let’s set aside the majority of the performance against the Philadelphia Eagles for a moment and appreciate Allen’s greatness.
Ever since Allen was drafted, he has silenced critics and ascended to become one of the best at his position, not just in the league, but in NFL history. His latest accolade against the Philadelphia Eagles was further proof that he’s one of one.
Josh Allen makes history against the
Entering Sunday, Allen needed one touchdown to become the youngest player to reach 300 regular-season touchdowns. Not just that, but Allen did it in the fastest it’s ever been done, and the only one to ever do so before turning 30.
Allen isn’t one to focus on individual accolades, though. He’s long since focused on the ultimate goal of winning the game; his stats mean nothing to him.
“I’m just trying to do my job, just trying to find a way to get in the playoffs here,” Allen said.
Josh Allen has been shattering record books in an MVP season
Running back James Cook and the work of the offensive line deserve their flowers for the Bills’ success in 2025, though we would be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge that Allen is the catalyst of it all. Buffalo is where it is today because of Allen and his abilities on the field.
Allen has been shattering the record books throughout his career, and this season is no different.
Allen became the only player in NFL history with three or more passing and three or more rushing touchdowns in the same game, he passed Peyton Manning for the most touchdowns by a player 30 or younger, and passed Tom Brady for the most games with three or more passing and one or more rushing touchdowns in the same game, and that’s just in the last half of the season.
Records are nice, but wins are what matter to Allen. As long as he’s wearing a Bills uniform, Buffalo will continue to chase championships, not just milestones. Still, Allen has been a revelation since arriving in Buffalo, and he deserves his praise for what he’s been able to accomplish.
I think it’s safe to say that Buffalo drafted the right Josh.
