For a split second, it seemed like disaster struck.

Quarterback Josh Allen was forced into the locker room a few seconds before the first half concluded, in clear pain. Fortunately, he was able to come back out and play the entire second half in the win against the Cleveland Browns, erasing the nightmare fuel that was in the minds of Bills Mafia.

While he wasn’t perfect, he ended the game healthy, and the team won, improving to 11-4.

Josh Allen injury update

Head coach Sean McDermott provided an injury update on Monday, opening up about Allen’s official injury and his designation. Once again, fans can breathe easy as Allen is listed as day to day with a foot injury.

“We’ll see how Josh (Allen) shows up tomorrow,” McDermott said.

To further ease the minds of fans, with an upcoming game against the Philadelphia Eagles on deck, it looks like the reigning MVP is going to be alright as he’s “just sore,” according to McDermott.

“As far as I’m aware, yes,” McDermott said.

Injury update after Bills’ win over the Browns

It wasn’t just Allen who was shaken up in the victory; safety Jordan Poyer was also banged up, along with linebacker Shaq Thompson, and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones.

Poyer turned back the clock with his performance, getting an interception for the first time since 2022. He was all over the field with 11 tackles and half a sack.

Thompson and Jones are also important pieces. Thompson got the start over fellow linebacker Terrel Bernard and has been playing exceptionally this season. And for Jones, while he might not explode off the stat sheet, he’s an important piece to the defensive front that’s been ravaged by injuries.

It feels like more not bad news, and it stinks that we’re starting the week off with more injury-related storylines. All year, Buffalo has been forced to fight through adversity with talent on both sides of the football missing substantial time. It’s early, and all players considered day to day is a victory of sorts, considering how poorly the injury bug has stung Buffalo this season.

Buffalo avoided the worst-case scenario on Sunday. With a tough matchup ahead, the focus now shifts to who might be missing and who’ll be ready to go against the Eagles.
