Bills’ Josh Allen quietly broke a Hall of Fame record that may never be accomplished again
Josh Allen is one of one in the National Football League.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is a generational talent and has silenced the critics throughout his NFL career. When the team drafted him, hardly anyone could imagine what Allen would be able to accomplish in the league. It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication he puts into his craft.
With that hard work and dedication comes some impressive NFL hardware. While Allen didn’t win a physical trophy, he has etched his name in the NFL record books once again. In the loss against the New England Patriots, Allen passed Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly for the most games with multiple passing touchdowns.
Allen had his 68th career game, breaking a tie with Kelly for the most games in Bills history in doing so. Not only that, but Allen was able to collect his 18th career game with more than 250 passing yards and more than 50 rushing yards. Even in a loss, Allen continues to rewrite Bills history.

Entering his eighth season, Allen already had the record for most total touchdowns in a player’s first eight seasons, meaning any additional touchdown he scores throughout the year just further his record.
Josh Allen’s touchdowns by season
- 2018 regular season: 10 passing, eight rushing = 18 total touchdowns
- 2019 regular season: 20 passing, nine rushing = 29 total touchdowns
- 2020 regular season: 37 passing, eight rushing, one receiving = 46 total touchdowns
- 2021 regular season: 36 passing, six rushing = 42 total touchdowns
- 2022 regular season: 35 passing, seven rushing = 42 total touchdowns
- 2023 regular season: 29 passing, 15 rushing = 44 total touchdowns
- 2024 regular season: 28 passing, 12 rushing, one receiving = 41 total touchdowns
- 2025 regular season: 9 passing, three rushing = 12 total touchdowns
Allen also became the fastest player in NFL history to have 300 career offensive touchdowns (including the postseason), surpassing Patrick Mahomes. Not only that, Allen overtook legendary quarterback Tom Brady for the best TD-to-interception ratio over a 12-game span.
The reigning MVP just keeps breaking records left and right, with no signs of slowing down. Allen has 75 career rushing touchdowns, including the playoffs, which are only two behind Cam Newton for the NFL record by a quarterback. Allen already surpassed Newton for the most games with a passing and a rushing touchdown in the same contest, another record for Allen.
With each passing week, Allen keeps proving why he’s the face of the franchise and why the Bills will always have a chance to win as long as No. 17 is under center.
