The Buffalo Bills are gearing up for a divisional showdown against the New York Jets in Week 2 of the NFL season. In the comeback victory against the Ravens, Bills quarterback Josh Allen put the team on his back with more than 400 yards of total offense, including 251 passing yards in the fourth quarter — the most in the fourth quarter of a win since Boomer Esiason threw for 252 yards in 1996.

Ahead of their upcoming contest, while speaking to the media, Allen gave perhaps the quote of the year when talking about his teammates and their love for football. Bills Mafia has flooded social media with their thoughts on Allen’s comments — they think it’s perfect.

“This is a tough sport,” Allen said. “It’s not for everybody. You’ve got to be a little sick to love this game. And we’ve got some sickos.”

Allen went into sicko mode against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1

There was a lot of heart on both sides of the football during the Bills’ thrilling victory, with Allen putting on his Superman cape and going into sicko mode.

Just his fourth-quarter stats alone beat out a handful of his peers’ entire games, despite being from just one quarter.

As Allen shared, there’s a bunch of sickos on this team. Let’s walk through some of the stats from Week 1 to show just how sick these players can be. First and foremost, there was Keon Coleman.

Heading into his second season, the Bills receiver is looking to take his game to the next level, and in one week, he gave the Bills Mafia plenty of reason to be excited about his future.

Coleman hauled in an impressive tipped pass for a touchdown and finished his day with eight catches for 112 yards and a touchdown.

Ed Oliver ruled out for Week 2 against the Jets

Another sicko during the game, this time on the defensive side of the football, was Ed Oliver. Oliver was the unsung hero of the contest, having perhaps the best game of his career.

During the contest, Oliver had six tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and three tackles for loss, along with two quarterback pressures and five stops.

He has been ruled out of Sunday’s contest, but his impact was profound in Week 1, and the team will be excited to get him back on the field. For Allen’s sicko comment, Oliver perfectly fits in here (respectfully).

Allen will need some help from his sickos on both offense and defense with a matchup against the Jets set for action on Sunday, Sept. 14. The team is a little banged up, with the status of some top playmakers in question.

Nevertheless, Buffalo will look to continue their winning ways and its stranglehold on the division. The Bills have won the division title for a franchise-record five consecutive seasons, and a win against the Jets on Sunday will put them in a great position to repeat.

In one week of the NFL regular season, Bills fans got a quote of the year and potentially the game of the year. Bills Mafia is excited about what’s next — and who could blame them?
