Josh Allen turns blatant disrespect from Steelers star into fuel, and his response proves he can dominate against any opponent

Josh Allen sure does know how to get under the defenses skin. Heyward was furious after the game.

The Buffalo Bills pulled out all the stops and walked out of Pittsburgh with a huge Week 13 win. While quarterback Josh Allen didn’t put on his Superman cape and will his team to victory, he had a good day at the office. When you consider the losses to both starting tackles, Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown, it makes the win even more impressive.

Perhaps the biggest talking point from the game that had nothing to do with the game was the “chemistry” between Allen and defensive tackle Cam Heyward. Heyward and Allen got into it throughout the matchup, with Heyward getting in Allen’s face on more than one occasion.

Immediately after the Bills’ win, Heyward went viral for his comments about Allen and what went down on the football field. It’s interesting to hear a player who has thrown punches before complain about a quarterback being dirty, but I digress. Heyward was asked about the frustration early on.

“Being kneed in my stomach? And then, just jawing back and forth,” Heyward said. “Ticked off the entire game because, as a quarterback, they’re protected, but I’m not. It just pisses me off.”

He was asked to clarify if Allen or someone else had kneed him, allegedly, and whether it was a one-time incident or something that occurred throughout the game. Additionally, Heyward opened up on the postgame comments between the two players.

“Yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying. It was that one incident,” Heyward said. “He even said after I had to do something to get you off of me.”

Josh Allen and the Bills broke the Steelers

While Allen didn’t throw for 400 yards and 17 touchdowns, he did enough to get under the skin of the defense, which makes the victory even that much sweeter. Allen is known for not backing down from a fight or from someone getting in his face on the football field. He was voted the number one trash talker in the league for a reason, and seemed to use that to his advantage against Heyward.

The defensive tackle is probably just upset that the Steelers’ run defense couldn’t stop a nosebleed, and when Allen did have to work his magic in the passing game, he let it fly.

James Cook and the Bills’ backfield gashed Pittsburgh for more than 240 rushing yards, the most the Steelers have surrendered since 1975 and the most in the new stadium.

For a franchise that prides itself on toughness in the trenches, Buffalo didn’t just beat it but broke its will. Every drive felt like another body shot in a heavyweight bout. By the fourth quarter, the Steelers had nothing to answer with.

When the clock hit zero, the Steelers weren’t just beaten, they were embarrassed by the Bills. Allen got into their heads, Cook ran through nearly all of their chests, and Buffalo walked out of Pittsburgh looking like the tougher team. It was the kind of win that sends a message.
