Bills’ Josh Allen hits unexpected win on his day off and the result only strengthens his status as one of one in the NFL
Josh Allen is a superstar in the NFL.
The Buffalo Bills have a unicorn in quarterback Josh Allen.
Since arriving in the league, he’s silenced critics, won an MVP, married a superhero, and has been involved in more than one national campaign. He’s a rockstar in the NFL and has quickly become a face of the league. Remember when he was drafted, and people thought the Bills drafted the wrong Josh? Seems to me that they nailed it with the selection.
Whether he’s in Cancun rehabbing from his injury or just spending some time at home with his expecting wife, Allen got some major good news on his day off from football.
Allen has the highest-selling jersey not only in the United States, but also in Canada. No small feat in a league that includes Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and the Dallas Cowboys machine.
QB1 has gone international. It’s a testament to his hard work and dedication that bleeds out with his performances on the field. You can’t deny QB1’s stardom in the NFL, a long way from those who said the Bills were going to fail miserably when selecting him in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft.
Josh Allen played through adversity in 2025
The 2024 MVP had surgery to fix a broken bone in his foot that he suffered during the team’s win over the Cleveland Browns. Like the true warrior that Allen is, he played through the injury all the way into the postseason, leaving Buffalo with a bad call away from being in the AFC Championship game.
While we’re certain Allen isn’t doing backflips over the news that his jersey is the highest-selling in multiple countries, it’s remarkable to look back at his performance with the injury, the talent that was given to him, and what he was able to accomplish considering all of that.
That’s what makes this whole thing hit a little different, and a reminder of how Allen is one of one in the National Football League.
Allen didn’t earn the top-selling jersey in two countries because of commercials, or because he married a celebrity, or because the league needed a new golden boy. He earned it by dragging a battered roster through another grueling season on one good foot and refusing to make excuses.
Bills Mafia already knew who their quarterback was; now the rest of the world does, too.
From “wrong Josh” to the NFL’s most worn name on a jersey, Allen’s story is still being written. If 2026 goes the way Buffalo believes it can, those sales numbers might just be the calm before an even bigger storm.
