The 2025 NFL Draft is set to get underway on Thursday night at 8:00 PM ET and CBS Sports thinks they know what the perfect first round selection would be for the Buffalo Bills.
CBS Sports named Georgia Bulldogs safety Malaki Starks as the "most ideal" selection for the Bills in the first round of the draft (No. 30 overall).
From CBS Sports: The Buffalo Bills have to have more athleticism on the back end of their defense, so that's why they select Georgia All-America safety Malaki Starks. The Bulldogs lined up Starks in every alignment possible in head coach Kirby Smart's scheme. Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott will appreciate this chess piece when moving him around the formation.
Starks is a former five-star recruit who was rated by 247Sports as the No. 4 overall player in the 2022 recruiting class.
The Georgia native totaled 197 tackles, six tackles for loss, six interceptions, and 17 passes defensed during his career in Athens.
CBS Sports, by the way, isn't the only media outlet that has Starks falling to the Bills at No. 30 overall.
ESPN's Peter Schrager also has the Bills selecting Starks in the first round.
From ESPN: Starks played safety and nickel corner for the Bulldogs, and he'd make an immediate impact for Buffalo. Starks is all ball and one of the safest prospects in this draft.
There's no guarantee, though, that Starks will fall to Buffalo at the end of the first round.
On Wednesday, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler mentioned Starks as an option for the Miami Dolphins at No. 13 overall.
