Bills’ newest addition earns some high praise from former teammate that should have Bills Mafia excited
Bills Mafia has to be thrilled with comments from Mecole Hardman’s former teammate.
The Buffalo Bills signed three-time Super Bowl champion wide receiver Mecole Hardman to the practice squad Tuesday. The speedster has expertise in the punt and kick return game, which could mean the end of cornerback and return specialist Brandon Codrington, who has been a healthy scratch throughout multiple games over the 2025 season.
A former teammate of Hardman spoke out about the move, offering high praise for the receiver and his future in Buffalo with quarterback Josh Allen. Fellow former Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill took to X, formerly known as Twitter, after the deal was made with a special message.
“Happy for my bro he gone be a difference maker for Josh Allen watch,” Hill wrote.
It wasn’t the only post Hill made; first, he sent a message showing a little disdain for the decision.
“Man went to the opps,” Hill wrote.
The Bills are getting some reinforcements in the passing game
It’s unclear whether the team will elevate Hardman from the practice squad for the Week 11 contest. Buffalo is looking a little banged up on offense, so it wouldn’t be a total surprise to see him on the field. Injuries continue to wreak havoc at One Bills Drive, with Allen’s favorite weapon, tight end Dalton Kincaid, suffering from a hamstring injury and is considered week-to-week.
Another option for Buffalo would be to elevate receiver Gabe Davis from the practice squad. He’s been rehabbing from a knee injury and has finally returned to practice, inching closer to being back on the field. Not only that, but receiver Josh Palmer is trending in the right direction as well, giving Allen yet another potential weapon for the upcoming game.
If Buffalo can get even a fraction of the spark Hardman brought to Kansas City, it could help stabilize an offense that’s been hit hard by injuries and inconsistency. Whether his debut comes this week or later, his speed gives the Bills another chance to stretch the field and open things up for Allen.
