The Buffalo Bills, along with several other NFL teams, caught a major break on Thursday.

Reports flooded in just before noon on Thursday that Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson and the NFL have agreed to an 11-game suspension and a $5 million fine for his violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy.

The Bills are set to host the Browns in week 11.

Thursday's news means that it won't be Watson under center for Cleveland when they visit Buffalo in late November.

Now, the Bills would be favored at home against the Browns even if Watson were playing. But there's no doubt that Watson is one of the most dynamic players in the NFL. He's capable of taking over a game. Cleveland could easily win that game if he were playing. Without him on the field, this is as close to a guaranteed win as you can get.

And that's huge for Buffalo.

The Bills are the favorites in the AFC East. And while winning the division is their goal, they undoubtedly want to earn the No. 1 overall seed in the AFC, too.

That means every game will be of the utmost importance to Buffalo in 2022. Watson's suspension essentially gets them one game closer to their goal before the season has even started.
