The Buffalo Bills have a clear need at wide receiver entering the 2024 NFL Draft.

Gabe Davis is expected to depart the franchise via free agency, which will leave a serious void at wide receiver for a Bills team that already doesn't have a lot of depth at the position.

The need at wide receiver is why Pro Football Focus thinks the Bills' worst-case draft scenario in April would be not selecting a wide receiver in the first three rounds of the draft.

From PFF: Worst-case scenario: Leaving the first three rounds of the draft without a wide receiver. Getting Josh Allen some more weapons at wide receiver is a must for the Bills this offseason — not just for 2024 but for the next few years.

Speedster Troy Franklin earned an 84.9 PFF grade last season and could slide to Pick 28. Even if he doesn't, a replacement for Gabe Davis should be available late in that first round, whether it's combine record-setter Xavier Worthy or South Carolina’s Xavier Legette.

The Bills have the No. 28 overall pick in the draft. That should put them in a good position to land either of the Texas wide receivers — Xavier Worthy or Adonai Mitchell. LSU wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr could also be an option.

A sneaky selection in the first round for the Bills could be Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey, who could be exactly the type of player that could take Buffalo's offense to the next level (great route runner, great speed, reliable hands).

The Bills will have some intriguing options. They just have to pull the trigger on one of those options early in the draft.
