UPDATE, Tuesday 1:19 P.M. ET: DJ Bien-Aime, ESPN reporter covering the Texans, shared that C.J. Stroud is likely to be at practice on Tuesday. It doesn’t mean he’ll clear the concussion protocol by Thursday against the Bills, but there’s a chance

The Buffalo Bills are gearing up for a “Thursday Night Football” matchup against the Houston Texans in Week 12. Buffalo is coming off a thrilling victory over the Buccaneers, hoping to keep the momentum going into the next game. Quarterback Josh Allen put on a vintage performance, totaling six touchdowns in the win.

Houston is also coming off a very different win over the Tennessee Titans, led by quarterback Davis Mills. The veteran has led the Texans to back-to-back wins with quarterback C.J. Stroud dealing with a concussion, and there’s a real chance that he’ll start once again when Buffalo rolls into town.

Buffalo got a potential huge boost before playing a single snap, in that Stroud remains in the concussion protocol, putting his availability into question. It won’t be a cakewalk by any means, as Houston has one of the best defenses in the entire league.

Even if Stroud is out, the contest isn’t made too much easier for Buffalo. However, it’s a slight advantage, and when you’re talking about a game of inches, Buffalo can use all the help it can get.

Buffalo is looking a little banged up as well

On Buffalo’s Monday injury report, a total of 15 players were either limited or did not practice. There’s no cause for concern just yet, as the team still has a few days to see how some of the players’ injuries will pan out, but for now, Buffalo is looking shorthanded.

The players who did not practice at all were wide receivers Mecole Hardman, Khalil Shakir, and Curtis Samuel, tight end Dalton Kincaid, and defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis. Allen’s arsenal of weapons is looking rather depleted, with Kincaid most likely needing at least another week.

As kickoff inches closer, all eyes will be on Buffalo’s and Houston’s injury report. With a hostile environment and a top-tier defense waiting in Houston, the Bills may need another Superman-level performance from the reigning MVP to keep stacking wins.
