It’s the most exciting time of the year, with the offseason in full swing and free agency currently ongoing. It’s a good time to be a fan of the NFL. Pair that with the NFL Draft rapidly approaching, and it’s still must-see television with all the storylines surrounding all the teams.

Buffalo has plenty of team needs heading into the upcoming draft, but one in particular continues to come up on social media and across Bills Mafia circles: wide receiver.

Fortunately for fans, the Bills held a pre-draft visit with an exciting prospect ahead of the upcoming draft that could signal their intention to bring in another playmaker for quarterback Josh Allen. It’s been reported that the team has had a private dinner and held a private workout in Eugene with Oregon wide receiver Malik Benson.

The workout, as Ryan Fowler reported, was led by Bills wide receivers coach Drew Terrell.

The 2026 NFL Draft will be a big one for Brandon Beane and the Bills

The upcoming draft will be a big one for Buffalo, as the team has plenty of needs heading into a pivotal offseason. Inside linebacker is probably the biggest team need at this point, but adding more weapons for Allen is never a bad thing. Benson would immediately raise the ceiling of the offense.

Ryan Roberts from A to Z Sports highlighted what makes Benson so special, and Bills Mafia should be pounding the table for Buffalo to make the selection in the upcoming draft. They need a difference-maker, and that’s exactly what Benson is. As Fowler reported, Benson is one of the most explosive wide receivers in the class and could give Buffalo exactly what they’ve needed on offense.

“Malik Benson has had a fascinating college journey. After beginning his career at Hutchinson Community College, Benson became a top-ranked JUCO prospect who landed at Alabama. From there, he spent the last two seasons bouncing from Florida State and ending up with the Oregon Ducks in 2025. After barely any production in 2023 and 2024,

“Benson became a much-needed contributor for Oregon, a team that was dealt a tough string of injuries at wide receiver. With a notable track and field background, Benson brings an intriguing blend of long speed and big play upside. He is still raw from an all-around perspective, but speed will always be wanted by NFL teams. Benson brings plenty of vertical ability.” – Ryan Roberts

If the Bills are serious about adding another dynamic weapon to pair with wide receiver DJ Moore, this is exactly the kind of prospect they should be circling.

Pre-draft visits don’t guarantee anything, but they do reveal intent. Right now, all signs point to Buffalo doing its homework on a player who could change the complexion of the offense.
