The Bills have won their last four games, and are one win away from clinching their fourth straight AFC East title.

In the midst of this win streak, Buffalo's defense has been one of the best in the league, and their run game has also taken a significant step forward. However, the passing game has been up-and-down and lacked its usual explosiveness.

When Sean McDermott was asked about the passing game, and Josh Allen's struggles over the last few weeks, he didn't exactly sugarcoat his answer.

"If I knew why [he was struggling], we'd would have it fixed by now," McDermott said.

In the course of the win streak, Allen has had three games with a passer rating under 90, including a measly 53.3 passer rating against New England on Sunday. It should also be taken into account, though, that the Bills' receivers have struggled over the last month.

In three of the last four games, Stefon Diggs has less than 30 yards receiving. Defenses know that if they lock down on Diggs, the Bills don't have a reliable and consistent No. 2 to attack them with in the passing game.

Yes, the Bills need Allen to play better. In particular, he needs to take the layups more often rather than play for the half-court shot. He also needs to be better on deep-balls when he does take those shots. However, he is far from the only issue, or the main issue, on the Bills' offense.
