Coach Sean McDermott joined what he calls his favorite show on Tuesday morning, Good Morning Football. From Matt Araiza's already-legendary 82-yard punt to turkey burgers in camp, the Buffalo Bills head coach conversation included a bit of everything.

But the part of the interview that stood out the most was toward the end when they discussed Josh Allen's upcoming season. This year features the most pressure the Bills quarterback has had to deal with in his young career.

He's the odds-on favorite to win the MVP in the fifth year of his career. His team is also the odds-on favorite to lift up the Lombardi Trophy when it's all said and done. Not that Allen hasn't faced any pressure before.

He is, after all, a former first-round pick at the toughest position in sports. He's been in the playoffs two years in a row. He's had to battle Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs in an epic offensive showdown in which he responded until the NFL rules didn't allow him to anymore.

But this time it feels different. They've got the best roster on football coupled with one of the best quarterbacks in the sport. Not to mention, the Bills need to win a division that is significantly easier to win than the AFC West or AFC North.

They're supposed to win the division. They're expected to make a deep run in the playoffs. Anything short of a Super Bowl appearance will result in disappointment throughout the league. Whether it's fair or not, that's the kind of pressure we're talking about.

And Bills fans know that's something to worry about.

However, when asked about Allen having the very highest expectations among every single player in the NFL and how is he handling it, McDermott's response was encouraging.

"He's great. He's got that it factor about him that nothing seems to shake him," said the Bills head coach. You can catch the full interview below:

Now granted, this could very well be your typical coach-speak. However, McDermott went on to point toward the evidence that suggests Allen is ready for the moment.

"He's experienced now in year 5. (He's) played well in big games, and he's been to the playoffs a number of times as well. He has that way about him that everything hits in stride."

The Bills are set up for success in 2022. The schedule is tough and there are some concerns at key positions like the offensive line. But as long as Allen isn't overwhelmed by the pressure, there is little reason to believe the Bills will be derailed from an appearance late in January or – hopefully – in February.
