Earlier this week, CBS Sports pointed out 20 NFL players that they believe could be a first-time Pro Bowl selections in 2024 and they included a second-year Buffalo Bills player on their list.
CBS Sports thinks Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid is a strong candidate to be a Pro Bowler in his second NFL season.
Kincaid, who is from Nevada, was a first round selection (No. 25 overall) by the Bills in the 2023 NFL Draft.
From CBS Sports: Everyone's focused on the Bills' remade receiving corps following Stefon Diggs' exit, but Kincaid may well end up being Josh Allen's new No. 1 after a strong finish to his rookie campaign. He's a legit downfield option.
Kincaid, who was a First-Team All-Pac 12 selection in 2022 after a big season at Utah (70 receptions, 890 receiving yards, and 8 TDs), had a terrific rookie season for the Bills last season, catching 73 passes for 673 yards, and two TDs.
The former Utah standout isn't just poised to be a Pro Bowler in 2024, but he looks like he could be a potential star in the NFL.
It usually takes tight ends a little bit of time to find their footing in the NFL. Tight ends have more responsibilities than other offensive skill position players — pass blocking, run blocking, route running, etc.
Those extra responsibilities, however, didn't seem to affect Kincaid's ability to impact a game. The 6-foot-4 tight end even made some key plays in the playoffs for the Bills last season, catching eight passes for 104 yards and a touchdown in two games.
The sky is the limit for Kincaid and it won't be a surprise if he has a true breakout season in 2024.
