Sports Illustrated's Connor Orr made some bold predictions for each NFL team on Tuesday, including one for Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen that Bills Mafia will absolutely love.
Orr essentially thinks 2024 will be the year of Josh Allen as the Sports Illustrated writer has the Buffalo quarterback winning MVP honors next season.
From SI.com: How good the Bills will be is a mystery to me. But, I think Allen has the makeup of an MVP candidate based on the likelihood that he’ll have to do a lot of heavy lifting. We saw the Bills offense “take off”—quotation usage intentional—after the restrictions (imposed or inferred) on Allen’s mobility were lifted. All of Allen’s highest rushing attempt games took place after the team fired Ken Dorsey and seemed to encourage Allen to put himself in harm’s way more frequently. If Allen can stay healthy while playing this combative style of football, he’ll be able to stay ahead of his closest competitors.
Allen was the only player this past season to receive a first place MVP vote outside of Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (who received 49 of 50 first place votes).
While there was some controversy over Allen receiving that vote, I'm actually surprised he didn't receive more votes. Jackson was a deserving winner, but Allen had a strong case, too.
Allen passed for 4,306 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions. He also rushed for 524 yards and an insane 15 touchdowns.
Jackson, meanwhile, passed for 3,678 yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions while rushing for 821 yards and five touchdowns.
Allen: 4,830 total yards accounted for; 44 total touchdowns accounted for
Jackson: 4,499 total yards accounted for; 29 total touchdowns accounted for
The interceptions hurt Allen, but it's hard to argue against the rest of his numbers.
With Joe Brady set to serve as the Bills' offensive coordinator next season (the Bills' offense was much better once Brady took over as the interim offensive coordinator in 2023), it's not unreasonable to think Allen could be at the top of his game in 2024, which could easily lead to an MVP award.

Josh Allen’s turnover problem was an incredible overreaction
