‘That guy sucks’ – Josh Allen doesn’t hold back in now-viral video that proves he’s 1 of the NFL’s most elite
Josh Allen has taken the world by storm.
When the Buffalo Bills drafted Josh Allen, they had high hopes that Allen would eventually become the franchise quarterback that the team and fanbase had been begging for since the days of Jim Kelly.
Allen, once again, has the internet in a chokehold. For those who may remember, Allen went viral a few years ago during a Pepsi commercial for pouring hot sauce into his pop (soda, if you’re weird) and stirring it with a celery stick. While not nearly as disgusting, but equally hilarious, Allen made a recent appearance in a Snickers commercial that might be his best performance yet.
Allen has surpassed any expectations met for him and then some to become one of the best players in the entire league, both on and off the football field.
Josh Allen and Snickers pair up for a hilarious ad
The video opens with a man reading a bedtime story to what the viewer will assume is a child: “And the princess and the prince saw the evil wizard with his strong arm throwing bombs.”
That’s when Allen comes into frame: “Dad, what happened to the evil wizard? Still thinking about how Josh Allen destroyed your fantasy team?” to which the father responded, defeated, “Not fair.” Before Allen hilariously offered, “That guy sucks.” Before handing the father a Snickers bar and offering, “Try this.”
After a bite of a Snickers bar, the child appears back in bed instead of Josh Allen, with the father apologizing, “Sorry, Josh. I mean, Jason. I named you Jason, I know that.”
If you’ve been browsing the candy shelves in gas stations, or maybe that’s just me, which is fine, you’ll notice that Allen is featured on Snickers’ packaging. To no one’s surprise, Allen found himself in the latest Snickers advertisement where QB1 put on a clinic with his acting chops. Allen and Snickers teamed up to launch limited-edition candy bars and ice cream bars.
Allen isn’t the first Bills player to be featured with Snickers, as he joins former Bills Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Bruce Smith, Marv Leavy, and Stefon Diggs in promoting the company.
Josh Allen, take a bow
After securing an MVP this past season, Allen went on to marry a superhero in Hailee Steinfeld, which made for a pretty busy offseason for QB1. Plus, Allen is appearing in national media spots, which is huge for QB1 and the fan base.
While Buffalo has always known QB1 is special, the entire world has been getting a chance to see that with HBO’s Hard Knocks, which is following the team during training camp and preseason. And, in part, new fans of Allen and the team get to enjoy the fact that a Buffalo Bills QB is becoming a superstar across the globe.
We’ve come a long way since the dreaded playoff drought, and Allen has been a massive contributing factor to the team’s success. For now, we’re just going to have some fun rewatching this advertisement and celebrate just how far Allen’s come since his early days in the NFL.
