Bills veteran finds incredible way to give back after disaster strikes in Western New York
A round of applause for Tyler Bass and his wife.
The Buffalo Bills have a busy offseason ahead of them, but we’d like to pause and reflect on one player’s selfless act before we get into the nitty-gritty of the offseason.
By now, everyone knows how the season ended for Buffalo, once again forcing the fan base into heartbreak with another loss in the playoffs. I will die on the hill that wide receiver Brandin Cooks caught the football. Nevertheless, with the loss to the Broncos, the offseason is in full swing.
With that being said, we wanted to point out kicker Tyler Bass for what he did in the community, and it’s making headlines across the league. One selfless act was perfectly captured, and we would be remiss not to talk about it.
Ten Lives Club is an organization that helps serve Erie County through a “large network of volunteers and the gracious donations from our supporters,” the official website reads. ” No donation, volunteer effort, or fundraiser is ever too small, and helps us continue to bring healthy cats into happy homes.”
Bass got involved when there was a reported break-in at the facilities, teaming up with his wife at the main shelter to visit, and generously donated a signed personal Buffalo Bills jersey.
Tyler Bass and his wife give back to a local charity
Tyler and his wife, Ryan, according to the post on Facebook, heard about the devastating break-in and wanted to help in a big way, with the jersey going toward the upcoming Gala. The jersey, as said in the post, will be available at the Gala, and they encourage you to buy tickets before it’s too late.
Just a selfless act from one of the leaders in the organization, which is further proof of just how connected the players are to not only the organization, but the city around them.
In a season that ended in frustration and what-ifs, this is the kind of moment that actually matters.
Long after the playoff debates fade and the offseason headlines take over, it’s actions like this that stick. Bass didn’t have to show up; he didn’t have to donate something personal, but he did. Being a Buffalo Bill means more than just Sundays at Highmark Stadium.
That’s the standard in this city. And it’s why, even in heartbreak, Bills Mafia has plenty to be proud of.
