The Buffalo Bills have a lot of directions to go in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Their offensive line needs help immediately. Buffalo also needs more depth at pass catcher on offense.
On defense, their secondary could use a another cornerback or safety early in the draft. Pass rusher is a potential selection as well.
As of now, it's tough to project exactly where they will decide to go. There's nearly three months and plenty decisions to go before the draft begins. That being said, mock drafts are already getting fired up around the NFL.
Who do some scouts have the Bills selecting in the first round?
The Draft Network, Joe Marino: Cody Mauch, Interior Offensive Lineman, NDSU
Marino of TDN gives the Bills some offensive line help. Mauch is a mauling presence that looks to project very nicely into the interior of an NFL offensive line. Protection issues were a massive issue for the Bills this season in their losses.
Mauch can be an impact starter at left guard next season for Buffalo.
NFL.com, Eric Edholm: Bijan Robinson, Running Back, Texas
Robinson would be a splashy selection for the Bills during this year's draft. Robinson is arguably the best running back prospect over the past few years. His blend of elusiveness and strength at RB is unique.
The running game needs to improve for Buffalo. The match of the Bills and Robinson could come to fruition.
CBS Sports, Kyle Stackpole: Brian Branch, Safety, Alabama
Branch is a flashy safety prospect that had a nose for the big plays in college. When the Crimson Tide needed a clutch play, Branch was usually there on defense. He has a well-rounded game that will allow him to get reps early on in the league.
The Bills may need a Jordan Poyer replacement if they let him walk in free agency. He will be 32 years old. Branch could be that guy for Buffalo.
Buffalo has a plethora of vital needs in order to compete for a division title once again next season. It will be interesting to see where they go in the first round this year.
