Carolina Panthers make a flurry of roster moves ahead of 2024 training camp
Starting with the rookie running back, the Carolina Panthers made a flurry of moves ahead of the start of the 2024 training camp.
Those hoping to see rookie running back Jonathon Brooks will have to wait a little longer.
The Carolina Panthers placed Brooks on the active/non-football injury list Friday, the same rookies reported to report to training camp.
He can be activated from the list at any time, but his not being cleared for the start of camp was anticipated after he suffered a torn ACL while at Texas.
Carolina also placed four other players on the active/physically unable-to-perform list. That list includes outside linebacker D.J. Wonnum and offensive tackle Yosh Nijman, along with outside linebacker Amaré Barno and rookie wide receiver Jalen Coker.
Veterans will report to camp next Tuesday, and practice will begin next Wednesday.
All the moves made Friday were considered procedural for the team moving forward.
