It has been the bugaboo haunting the Carolina Panthers since the NFL preseason.

The lack of quality offensive line play has left Bryce Young and Andy Dalton running for their lives when trying to make plays in the passing game.
Recent data shows the Panthers have allowed 60 pressures in three weeks, putting them on pace for 340 over the season. That would be the most pressures allowed by an offensive line in the history of Pro Football Focus tracking the statistic.

Contributing to the pressures is that the Panthers have thrown the ball more than most teams. That can be attributed to the team playing from behind in all three contests played. Another reason the pressures allowed by the offensive line are sky-high is because injuries to key contributors have thrust players from different roles into uncertain positions.

Brady Christensen will be missing the rest of the year with a biceps injury while right guard Austin Corbett remains sidelined after offseason surgery on his torn ACL.

Still, the number of pressures allowed is not conducive to winning. And the Panthers coaching staff is rightfully searching for an answer.
