Much has been made of the Carolina Panthers choosing to draft Bryce Young No. 1 overall in 2023 while Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud went on to have a record-setting rookie season.

It isn't proven that Stroud would have had similar success in Charlotte as he did in Houston. But buyer's remorse has been prominent in several people's minds as the Panthers struggled through Young's pedestrian rookie season.

Recently, Stroud was on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast when he admitted that when he played the Panther, he was "hot" that they didn't draft him, he said.

Young ended his rookie season with two wins. He also amassed 2,877 yards, 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Stroud, on the other hand, had the Texans in the playoffs while he threw for 4,108 yards, 23 touchdowns and five interceptions.

It can be argued that Stroud should have gone No. 1 overall. However, hindsight is always 20/20. In Young, the Panthers will have to curate an offense tailor-made for his success. With Stroud, he boasts many of the natural abilities that translate to being an elite quarterback for decades to come.
